Literature on the Azawakh

2010-11-29

There is almost no literature on the Azawakh breed in the world. The situation will hopefully change with the new generation of artists which has been emerging recently. This short story was found among the works of art of Miss Uxia Anido, a 7-year old writer from Galicia, Spain. I wish to express my thanks to the young author and her father for the permission to publish this little work of art. Let´s hope for more stories like this one!

On Two Azis that Crossed the Desert

Once upon a time there were two Azawakhs named Amadou and Akhami who crossed the desert of Sahara, and after having run so much, they were thirsty but they could not find water and began to hallucinate because of the sunshine, and they saw a sand storm which caught them and they fainted, then when they opened their eyes, Amadou woke up Akhami and they finally arrived home, and very happy, they returned to their owners.
